Our first show, Delhi Crime currently on Netflix, premiered at the 2019 Sundance Film Festival in the Indie Episodic category, and eventually went on to win the Best Drama Series at the 48th International Emmy Awards. This is the first win for India. Season 2 released in August 2022 and also received fabulous reviews & appreciation. Season 3 is currently in production.

Our first feature, What are the Odds?, co-produced with Abhay Deol premiered at the closing night gala for the ‘Indian Film Festival of Los Angeles’ in 2019, and was released on Netflix on 20th May 2020 to rave reviews.

We have also produced two short films Grant St. Shaving Co. (2010) and Leeches (2016). After a very successful festival run Leeches went on to win the National Award for best music.

Since the early days of its inception, FilmKaravan has been motivated to champion the bastion of independent filmmakers. To enable this and extend a helping hand to these makers during the pandemic and now FilmKaravan in collaboration with Youtube launched Bandra Film Festival, an on-going non for profit International film festival that aims to provide a unique platform for new artists, innovative content creators and unearthing hidden gems by prolific filmmakers on 25th February, 2021.The films are available for free viewing to all on our Bandra Film Festival YouTube channel. Abhay Deol, Aseem Chhabra and Jugal Hansraj are on the board of the festival.

The festival has significantly expanded its reach, not only online but also offline. The screening of select short films at renowned venues such as The Soho House in Mumbai, The Habitat Studios in collaboration with White Wall Screenings, and KIFA Academy in partnership with Short Film Tours was met with enthusiastic audiences, providing filmmakers with an exciting platform to showcase their distinctive works. Additionally, our exciting new partnership with Woodside Inn has further enriched the festival experience, offering a unique space where filmmakers and audiences can enjoy the screening with food and drinks over a relaxed setting, fostering meaningful discussions and connections. The overwhelming response and unwavering support from both audiences and the industry reaffirm our commitment to further developing and expanding the ever-growing community of independent cinema and filmmakers through the festival.
