Pooja Kohli-Taneja

With over ten years’ experience in film festival management and programming, Pooja Kohli has always been dedicated to giving voice to the diaspora of South Asian filmmakers. After beginning her career producing documentaries for Zee TV and I.R.I.B., Pooja went on to work as the Managing Director at IFP Market and the MIAAC Film Festival Director. Her expertise inludes promoting film events to South Asian communities.

Payal Sethi

As an executive at Mira Nair’s Mirabai Films, Payal Sethi was involved with several of Nair's productions, including HYSTERICAL BLINDNESS, and THE NAMESAKE. She has worked in the New York independent film industry for over eight years in a variety of roles, ranging from Manager of the Sloan Fund at the Tribeca Film Festival to a programmer at the Mahindra IAAC Film Festival.

Sumana Murthy

At first a novice to the inner workings of film, Sumana's deep love for South Asian music spilled over into an appreciation for films and a commitment to watch and propagate excellent, independent cinema.  Having completed her B.A. in Economics at Wesleyan University, she brings a fresh, economic perspective to the FilmKaravan team. Anisha Jhaveri

Born and raised in Japan, surrounded by a bounty of anime and manga, Anisha remained loyal to South Asia with her penchant for classical dancing and Bollywood films. Her love for cinema evolved into an academic passion, leading her to obtain a BA in Screen Arts and Cultures at the University of Michigan. She landed in New York approximately 2 years ago and dabbled with talent management, human rights non-profit work, and casting before starting at FilmKaravan, where she brings a global and current outlook to cement FK's presence in today's increasingly international media market. She is currently pursuing an MA in Media Management at The New School in Manhattan.
