About Us

ABOUT FILMKARAVAN

FilmKaravan takes root from the need for a powerful network to unite South Asian filmmakers everywhere. Our mission is to discover, develop and disseminate specialty films for a global audience, and to foster these films along each stage of their lifecycle. Ultimately, we strive to be a catalyst for South Asians who create groundbreaking films, by developing the best platforms for our exclusive network of filmmakers, industry professionals and audience members.

The FilmKaravan network is designed to bridge access between member projects and decision makers in the industry, consisting of programmers, development/acquisitions executives, and distributors from different parts of the world, united in their interest in finding the finest South Asian film content.

We also create and develop high profile programs to showcase the best selection of South Asian screenplays, work-in-progress features, and finished films through curated events, in partnership with major film festivals, markets and sponsor organizations, throughout cities that represent epicenters of world cinema.
